The Orion is an official Science and Technology Journal at the University of Toronto, founded by Irmak Aytekin. Its mission is to foster a deeper connection between students and faculty, creating a space where research, ideas, and scientific discussions can go beyond the classroom. The journal seeks to bridge the gap between students and professors, offering a platform for students to gain valuable insights directly from experts in their fields. To do so, we will be inviting faculty members to give interviews and we’ll be writing articles about their research.

The journal also aims to be more than just a publication; it’s a platform for growth. It aims to empowers students to explore their own research, express their ideas, and connect with a broader scientific community. By elevating student voices and offering them a professional space to publish and share their work, The Orion pushes for a more engaged, curious, informed, and collaborative approach for an improved community around science and technology at the University of Toronto.
